Here I want to introduce a basic formula for the Ferguson Nova.
In my opinion this is the most simple Ferguson Nova formula one can find:



I had to introduce a parameter delta because it is really a family of Ferguson Novas.
A good choice is delta = 0.1 or delta = 0.05, as you can see in the table below.

The start value is always s = 0.0.

1.0 a big rough Ferguson Nova
0.5 a bit smoother
0.1 at a delta of 0.1 a classic Ferguson Nova with a spiral tip
0.05 a smoother version of the one before
0.01 the spiral at the tip begins to contract
0.005 and again smoother than the one before
0.001 the smaller getting Ferguson Nova moves also deeper and deeper into the body
0.0005 a good rendering is hard to find
0.0001 moving deeper
0.000001 very very deep inside,very very small and difficult to render
